Blue Pony Volleyball Looking Forward to Season

(NMB) The Havre Blue Pony Volleyball team enters the 2022 fall season coming off last year’s second place finish at the State Volleyball tournament. Head coach of the Blue Ponies Stephanie Huse says off season workouts started as soon as last school year ended. “As soon as school got out, the girls started their preseason training. We’ve been lucky enough to work with the girls basketball program together on the same page as far as our lifting and our workout regimen. It’s been good, we’ve had lots of good numbers of girls being there and getting better everyday.”

July has been Volleyball camp mode for the Ponies. The more experienced players participated in the Bozeman and Carroll College team camps and finished July back in Bozeman for an elite team camp. The First official day of practice for the upcoming season is August 12th and Coach Huse says when practice begins it’s all about fundamentals and repetition. “Fundamental, fundamental, repetition, repetition of skills, and the only way to do that is constant repetition. And then starting to kind of outline expectations for positions, what different options will be there for the girls so they can start to get it in their heads on what they need to work on and strive for and know what’s ahead of them as we move forward into our season.”

The Havre Blue Pony Volleyball team will open up their 2022 season August 26th and 27th at the Eastern “A” Tip Off tournament in Lockwood.
