Box Elder hosts candlelight vigil

(Box Elder) Friday night saw members of the Box Elder Community gathering around a campfire that was created across the street from the post office, sharing names and sharing grief about loved ones each of them had recently lost.

This comes just over a week after two men were shot to death in front of the D&L Bar in Box Elder, in what police are calling a “targeted attack” by three assailants from California.

The vigil was preceded by short guest sermons from traveling pastors and ministers from Billings, before the list of lost loved ones was read by local Travis St. Marks.

After each name was read, a candle was lit in their honor.
