(Helena) – The Bureau of Reclamation has announced the will close access to all traffic across Canyon Ferry Dam on Montana State Highway 284, May 8th through 11th from 8am until 3pm. The temporary road closure will allow Reclamation to safely conduct operations necessary to complete project work on the dam infrastructure.
Required work includes annual maintenance to electrical components of the dam that are integral to the operation of the gantry crane. Travelers must seek alternate routes, north and south of the dam during the closure period.
