HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday afternoon, a 1961 Chevy Impala suffering from mechanical problems crashed into the storage area next to the Carquest building in Havre. Police Chief Gabe Matosich says that the wreck happed at about 3:22 PM on Friday and the driver initially left the scene.
Kenneth Blatt was cited for failure to give notice of an accident and for not having insurance.
Matosich says that the vehicle came into the parking lot and hit the storage facility to the east of the Carquest building and caused significant damage to both the building and the vehicle. No one was injured.
Matosich says Blatt apparently spoke with employees in the building, before driving off without notifying the police about the accident. Officers found him later and cited him.
