The Chinook Sugarbeeters Girls Basketball Team are heading to the Northern “C” Divisional round as the 9-C District Champion.
The Sugarbeeters, led by Alexus Seymour, defeated North Star (47-33) in the District Championship. Now sitting at 21-0 on the season, here’s what head coach Mike Jones had to say about the District Tournament:
“I thought the District Tournament was fun. It was a good atmosphere. The 9C is a good, quality district and it was good for us. I know that championship game was pretty fun and entertaining and North Star is a good team. We were happy to get out of that with a win.“-Jones
The Lady Sugarbeeters will now move on and play Cascade in round 1 of the Northern Divisional’s. Here’s what Coach Jones had to say about preparing for the match up.
” So, we went and looked at them and they like to go pretty quick. They’ve got a couple of guards that can handle the ball and try and score for them and they’ve got a post that plays inside/outside. Kind of a flashing type player. We’ve seen some sets from them. We will get prepared and ready for that first round game.”-Jones
