Havre, MT – In the first official year of the expanded Frontier Conference with a 22-game conference schedule Montana State University-Northern men’s basketball finished with a 28-13 overall record and a 11-11 league record.
Northern Lights head coach Shawn Huse had some thoughts on the 22-game league schedule and the extended travel in the expanded Frontier.
“There is obviously some wrinkles that I think got ironed out with the schedule moving forward. This was a first for all of us and so I think that it’s a learning experience. It’s a brand-new league when you add all of those teams and so now, we got some ideas and ways that we think we can be more efficient; But at the end of the day, I think the league is much more interesting.” Coach Huse commented.
Lights basketball fell just three points shy of an underdog run to a conference tournament title, (79-77) to Rocky Mountain College to end the 2025-26 season.
