TIBER, Mont. (NMB) – The top priority of the Rocky Boy’s/North Central Montana Regional Water System Project has been the Water Treatment Plant near Tiber Reservoir.
A press release says that this integral component of the project will be the source of water to fill the pipelines across north central Montana. Construction of the recycle ponds for the Water Treatment Plant began earlier this year in July. As winter approached, construction of the ponds in 2018 was halted and is scheduled to resume in the spring.
Work completed includes topsoil management, excavation and placement, and clay liner installation. While geotextile fabric and riprap are mostly complete, some of the work remains until after installation of the decant structures and utility piping in the spring. Other work remaining includes the ponds maintenance roads, decant structures, utility piping, site reclamation, and seeding.
