(Bozeman) – Deer Creek Bridge and Trailhead in Gallatin Canyon will be closed to vehicle traffic for the week of October 30th for bridge testing. Foot traffic will be allowed and parking will be available across Highway 191 to the north.
Markley bridge, locally known as the “Green Bridge,” is slated for replacement due to its age and condition. Pre-work for this replacement is currently on-going, with specific geotechnical testing taking place the week of October 30th.
The Markley bridge replacement is made possible by funding through the Great American Outdoors Act and is expected to be implemented the summer of 2025.
