HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Democratic candidate Kathleen Williams is in the 2020 race for Congress, and stopped in Havre Thursday, February 20 to discuss her campaign’s goals.
Williams says that her campaign ran out of time in the 2018 race, but their high vote record then is a testament that Montanans want what she has to offer.
“I have a real commitment to rural Montana, and Montanans want someone who can solve problems, that has experience, that’s authentic. And they came out and voted that way in 2018, we ran out of time. So, now we’ve got more time and we can get over the finish line.”
Some of Williams campaign goals are to preserve Montana’s heritage, create more jobs, and provide better healthcare for all Montanans.
“Healthcare is what I hear most broadly, most deeply. People on the individual market are paying $2,000 a month with $10,000 deductibles. I just talked to a farmer yesterday who has to take insulin and the costs are incredibly high.”
