Domestic Abuse Awareness Run/Walk Kicks Off Saturday Morning

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday morning, the annual Domestic Abuse Awareness 5K Run/Walk will take place on 5th Avenue in Havre. Renae Miller with the Domestic Abuse Program at District 4 HRDC says October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and they will be collecting non-perishable food or toiletry items to be donated to the domestic abuse shelter in Havre.

Registration for the event starts at 9:30 AM in the Western Drug parking lot with the run/walk starting at 10. The race will go down 5th Avenue and turn back around at the end of hospital hill, then finish back in the Western Drug parking lot.

The event will also feature music and a food truck. They will also be selling ribbons for $1 as a fundraiser for their program.
