(Clarkston) The Fairweather Fishing Access Site in Clarkston has been closed via emergency rule closing by Montana FWP following ice jams and flooding in the area.
The combination of unsafe conditions includes flooded areas throughout the site, moving ice and debris, and potentially unstable trees. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will reopen the site when conditions allow.
Recreationists are encouraged to use caution when visiting rivers because of unseen hazards, as well as flow and ice conditions that can change suddenly.
