Festival Days Theme and Dates Have Been Set in Havre

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Now that spring has arrived on the Hi-Line, people are starting to look forward to Havre’s summer events. Executive Director for the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Jody Olson says that the dates and the theme for Festival Days has been set. They will also be hosting a town-wide clean up in May to help get the town ready for their events.

“The dates are September 20 through the 22nd and the theme this year is going to be ‘Small Town, USA.’ And I wanted to bring that up because everybody always asks the dates, they always asks the theme real early on. People are trying to set their calendars up. And, also, we want some Grand Marshall nominations.”

Olson says they have a week-long event in mid-May to help make Havre look nice before the summer tourists start coming through the area.

“We have kind of a town clean up. That’ll be the week of May 12th through the 18th. We just kind of spruce things up every year in the spring. We’ll have garbage bags here if you need them and then the City will put out the big bins, you know, on the corner up here and up at Zip Trip, like they always do.”

If you would like to nominate someone to be the Grand Marshall for Havre’s Festival Days parade this September, call the Chamber office at 265-4383 or email chamber@havrechamber.com.
