HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill County Health Department and Northern Montana Hospital have just confirmed the first COVID-19 case in Hill County.
The case is a 60-year-old male who has been instructed to stay isolated until he has made a full recovery.
The health department says the man likely acquired the virus through out of state travel.
A press release says anyone in direct contact with the man over the last two weeks will get a phone call from the Hill County Health Department with instructions on how to proceed.
COVID-19 has a 14 day incubation period, which means if you have been exposed to the virus it will take a total of two weeks for you to show symptoms.
The Hill County Health Department urges everyone to continue practicing preventative measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.
As of Wednesday afternoon, there are 65 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana.
