(Helena) – Hoot owl fishing restrictions have been lifted on all sections of the Madison River and Sun River, these will be the last of the fishing restrictions that are still in effect in Montana.
Hoot owl fishing restrictions prohibit fishing each day between 2pm and midnight and are implemented based on several considerations such as stream flow, water temperatures, angling pressure, and other angling restrictions in the area.
