Missoula, MT – The University of Montana athletic department announced the hiring of former Grizzly football player, Marcus Welnel, as the Assistant Athletic Director.
According to the Chief Revenue office for Grizzly athletics, Welnel will be working to maximize revenue for UM athletics while working along side Grizzly coaches on NIL.
As a Grizzly, the Helena native, played four full seasons on the Grizz football team and wore the No. 37 his senior year. Welnel recorded total tackles as a linebacker for the Grizz.
After graduating from UM, Marcus has worked as financial advisor and was the general manager for Grizzly NIL collective for the last three years.
