FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – The Fort Belknap Indian Community Council has voted to extend the shutdown of the Reservation through December 14th, with some modifications.
This is the fourth time the shutdown, which initially went into place on October 2nd, has been extended by two weeks.
Store hours have been extended to 8 PM and the alcohol ban has been lifted until further notice. All activities must have a safety plan that they submit to Incident Command seven days prior to the event, with the Council having final approval.
All other provisions will remain in place.
As of Monday evening, Fort Belknap has reported 324 total COVID-19 cases on the Reservation. 15 are active, including three hospitalizations. 309 have recovered and nine have died.
