FWP to Hold CWD Public Information Sessions in Conrad, Shelby

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Region 4 will have two public information sessions regarding Chronic Wasting Disease in north-central Montana. A press release says the meetings will focus on current and future management of CWD in the area.

The first meeting will begin at 7 PM in the Conrad Community and Senior Citizens Center in Conrad on Tuesday, October 22nd. The second meeting will also begin at 7 PM in the Marias River Electric conference room in Shelby on Thursday, October 24th.

Other planned topics for the meeting will be a planned special CWD hunt south of Chester this fall and how to submit samples for CWD testing.

In FWP Region 4, hunting districts 400 and 401 have been designated as part of the Northern Montana CWD Management Zone.
