HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) updated their COVID-19 closure and suspension restrictions Friday, April 24 and seem to be slowly starting to reopen for summer recreation.
In taking note of Governor Bullock’s phased reopening plan, FWP stated they are reopening overnight camping and group sites including fishing piers May 1.
FWP did note that campers will still see restrictions in services until May 15 as they are still implementing strict social distancing guidelines.
Other activities opening the first week of May include floating activities and white tag paddlefish angling.
FWP classes, visitor centers and management areas will still remain closed to the public until further notice.
All out-of-state travelers wishing to participate in recreational activities must remember to first quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.
