Helena- Montana Governor Greg Gianforte along with Lieutenant Governor Kristen Juras recently held a red tape cutting ceremony in celebration of the success of their Red Tape Relief Task Force. The task force has worked with legislatures to introduce 188 red tape relief bills of which over 100 have been signed into law.
Governor Gianforte spoke at the ceremony what the goals of this task fore are.
“Through red tape relief, we are accomplishing three main goals. One, simplifying and modernizing the Montana code. Two, making government more efficient to better serve Montanans and three, creating better opportunity for Montanans.”-Gianforte
He goes on to give an example of how this task force has cut red tape.
“To support Montana producers, I signed a bill last month by Representative Lear to expand on-line and video livestock auctions. Montana Law should not stand in the way of our farmers and ranchers succeeding in today’s economy. The internet is a real thing, and i don’t think it’s going away.“-Gianforte
Both the governor and lieutenant governor are excited about the work that has been done but know their work is not finished yet.
