In the season opener of Class A high school action, the Havre Blue Ponies boys basketball team met up with the Laurel Locomotives with the hopes they would set the tone for the 2021-22 season. The game was tied 4 times after four quarters with Caden Jenkins being the top scorer the first half. It was a closely matched game from tip to time but the Havre Blue Ponies stole the game in the end, 52-42.
