The Havre High School and Chinook High School Cross Country teams were in Lewistown on Friday for the Fergus Invite. On the girls side the Blue Ponies finished in 4th place in team competition. Ashlyn Ford was the top finisher for Havre finishing in second place overall with a time of 20 minutes and 23 seconds. Hailey Gingery was 19th and Paige Anderson finished in 35th place.
The Chinook Girls were tenth overall in the team competition and were led by Neva Lowe who finished in 15th place.
For the Boys, the Havre Blue Ponies finished in 7th place overall and were led by Caleb Tomac who ran the course in 16 minutes and 17 seconds, good for second place overall. Zack May Finished in 15th place overall followed by Mason Gregoire who finished in 25th place.
The Chinook boys were 12 overall in the team competition and were led by Carson Nissen and Cory Bilger.
Both Havre and Chinook Cross Country teams will run next week. Chinook will be in Hays on Wednesday September 20th.
The Havre Boys and Girls will be at the Mountain West Cross Country Meet in Missoula on Saturday September 23rd.
