Havre City Council Approves Agenda Items in Quiet Meeting

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s City Council met for a short meeting Monday night to a mostly empty room. They passed three agenda items, including approving the pledged securities from Independence Bank, approving the September claims and manual warrants, and the approval of the Bullhook Storm Drain project draw down request.

Public Works Director Dave Peterson said they are nearing the end of the Bullhook project and expect to be completed in two to three weeks as the weather allows. They are finishing up the work in the alley between 3rd and 4th Avenues and 8th and 9th Streets. There is also some pavement work that still needs to be done on 9th Street.

The Council will also be hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 30th to talk about Special Improvement Districts as a way to fund street and infrastructure repairs in Havre. The meeting will start at 6 PM in Havre’s City Hall.
