HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Tuesday, Havre City Court Clerk, Tyson Bliwernitz submitted his resignation to the Court. A press release says that his last day will be December 31st.
Last month, Havre City Judge Virginia Siegel unexpectedly announced her resignation and recommended Bliwernitz to take over until a replacement can be found. Also on Tuesday, Seigel formally requested that the City Council address her resignation and the nomination of her replacement, as it wasn’t addressed at the most recent meeting. Her new Judge Pro Tempore is Court Administrator Cathy Lee, who is authorized to act as the Judge in Seigel’s absence until February 21st, or 30 days after Seigel’s last day.
Seigel recently attended a Supreme Court training session and gathered all of the written materials and DVDs of each training session. The Supreme Court has authorized her replacement to take a make-up exam for judicial certification if the nominee is selected by December 31st.
