Despite clawing back from behind, the Havre Blue Pony football team couldn’t nudge past Dawson County Friday night, as the Red Devils held on for a 21-20 victory.
Havre came out of the first half with a lone field goal. However, their host punched into the end zone twice, to hold a 14-3 halftime lead.
After a scoreless third, Dawson found the endzone once again to move up 21-3. The Ponies opened up their offense in the fourth, finding the end zone twice while adding another field goal to close the gap to 21-20, where the score remained until the end.
Havre (now 2-2) is back on the road next Friday, as they meet the Lockwood Lions (3-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 7p, and you can hear the play by play live on KOJM.
