The back-to-back State Champion Havre Lady Blue Ponies are set to begin their title defense this week in Billings. The Blue Ponies finished the regular season 14-4 overall and winning the Northeast “A” Conference with an 8-0 record.
With a week off to prepare, Coach Kraske of the Lady Blue Ponies says his team is ready to show how good they can be:
“We’re excited to jump on the bus and head down there and play some really good teams. I guess work to show off how good we are here at the end of the season. We’re excited.”-Kraske
Havre is set to play the winner of Lockwood vs Sydney which will be played Wednesday at 9AM. With no knowing which team to prepare for, coach Kraske says Lockwood will be the primary scouting focus since Havre has seen Sydney twice already this year:
“Since we don’t know who we play, we do have some experience playing Sidney since they’re part of our league and we play them every year, the prep work will be a little bit for them and quite a bit for Lockwood.“-Kraske
