(NMB) The Havre Blue Pony golf teams made their bid for state at the Eastern A Divisional Golf Meet in Laurel on Friday.
The boys team finished 5th with 363 points, led by Matt Huse, Noah Barrett, and Callen Stoner each marking a 90 stroke. Quinn Elliott scored a 93 for the round, and Evan Alisch rounding scoring at 101 strokes.
The Lady Ponies claimed 4th place at the meet with 450 points, led by Callie Bebee shooting a 105. Tierra Parker scored 110, Liliana Smith marked 115, and Madison Reber finished the course with 120 strokes.
The Lady Ponies move on to State play as a team, while the boys will see Huse, Barrette, Stoner, and Elliott compete. The practice rounds for state will be played Thursday, October 3rd in Polson, with the State Class A tournament running Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5th at the Polson Bay golf course.
