HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre man that is likely to be imprisoned until at least 2028 has been arraigned on five new charges, including three felonies.

Joshua Glen Reid, born in 1979, pleaded not guilty on Monday in Hill County District Court to the felonies of stalking, two felony counts of solicitation to commit tampering with a witness and informant, and two misdemeanor counts of violating an order of protection.

Court documents state that after Reid was charged with three counts of felony partner or family member assault back in June, a temporary order of protection was filed June 11th by the woman he is alleged to have assaulted.

While in the Hill County Detention Center and awaiting the protection order hearing that was scheduled for June 24th, Reid is believed to have called the woman approximately 360 times. He is also alleged to have called two other people and attempt to have them ensure the woman would not show up at the hearing.

Reid admitted to a Deputy to calling the woman, but would not confirm whether she answered the calls and what was discussed.

The prosecution has been attempting to add 350 counts of felony violating an order of protection, but Judge Kaydee Snipes-Ruiz has not yet agreed that there is probable cause to issue the charges.

Those pending charges, or similar charges, could still be added at a future date.

In addition to this case, Reid is also in the middle of three pending cases in Hill County District Court, including the case with the domestic assault charges. He is already scheduled to be incarcerated through 2028 after being sentenced to the Montana State Prison through December 2023 on a sentence revocation for theft by embezzlement, and will then be screened for a five year sentence with the Department of Corrections after recently being convicted of theft by common scheme.

Reid remains in the Hill County Detention Center, where he has been since June 9th.
