(Havre) Havre Police Department and Vision Zero want Havre residents to drive responsibly for this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
In a press release, Havre PD says that since St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, they expect an increased amount of alcohol consumption and celebrating. New Media Broadcasters spoke with Captain Ryan Pearson of Havre PD to ask what the department has planned to combat drunk driving.
“They’ll notice some extra patrols on the weekend, St. Patrick’s Day is on a Sunday. We would just like to advise everybody to celebrate responsibly, have a sober ride home, and just enjoy the weekend responsibly. The vision zero mission is zero fatalities on roadways, getting people to remember to wear their seatbelts, drive responsibly, have a sober driver, and enjoy the weekend in moderation.”
