HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s Annual Festival Days Celebration is set to take place this Friday through Sunday, and members of the community are working hard to ensure the events are successful and memorable.
Havre Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julea Robbins says the Festival Days Parade is back this year after it was called off last year due to COVID-19 precautions.
“We do ask that people social distance from those you don’t know. And if you are uncomfortable, certainly wear a mask and please stay home if you are sick. Parade lineups start at 8 AM over in the High School parking lot. We’re just going to start the parade there, going down 5th Avenue, just like we normally do. It should be good. Hopefully we get a lot of parade participants both watching and in the parade. We will be throwing candy just like normal, so if you’re uncomfortable with that, certainly don’t take the candy. But otherwise, it should be really fun.”
The Parade is set to begin on Saturday at 10 AM on 5th Avenue.
There is no shortage of other Festival Days Events, including the Pancake Breakfast, vendor shows, the Rock Lotto, and the 1st Annual Hi-Line Games.
“The Chamber has been pretty involved in (the Hi-Line Games), which has been pretty fun. We are really trying to get the community more involved with Northern. Sign up is still available, so we’re encouraging people to sign up to go and be a part of these games. We’re going to do some strength challenges, some karaoke, and some trivia. It’s going to be a lot of fun, but we need people to participate. So if you want to be on a team, you can give us a call and we’ll get you all the info on that. So it’s going to be a lot of fun, and hopefully we can bring it back in years to come.”
