HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday at Noon, Havre’s Salvation Army Thrift Store will be re-opening after closing for renovations eight months ago. Director of Retail for the Northwest Division Keith Moore says that the store will now be called the Salvation Army Family Store and will be open this Friday and Saturday from noon to 5.
“We will have a guest speaker, kind of speaking about the Salvation Army and what our goal is here. Salvation Army Thrift Store, our only purpose is to provide funds to run the local service office here.”
Volunteer Coordinator Carissa Minnick says they are still looking for volunteers to help them run the store and organize their departments.
“We have new furniture as an option. We also have, obviously our clothes, books, used furniture, household items, things like that.”
The Salvation Army Family Store will start their regular hours next week, which will be Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. They also encourage people to drop off donations during their hours of operation so they can sort and check the items. Items that get left overnight or get rained on cannot be accepted.
