HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Officials with the city of Havre are seeking the public’s input as they ponder potential changes to 6th Street.
During the last two Streets and Sidewalk Committee meetings, officials have discussed safety issues with 6th Street between 7th and 12th Avenues.
Among possible solutions discussed was turning 6th Street into an eastbound one way for that stretch of the road, which does not include any alleyways and has been considered a safety hazard.
Havre Police placed an electronic speed sign on the road this summer, but that will be moved back to the area near St. Jude’s School once the school year starts up.
City officials have created a survey that members of the public can fill out. It asks several questions and at the end, allows for open-ended responses where residents can elaborate their stance on the issue.
