HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Toys for Tots has concluded its second holiday season helping kids in need in the Havre-area.
Local Toys for Tots organizer Jennifer Tilleman says they more than doubled the amount of toys given to kids in need from last year, thanks in part to help from the Salvation Army.
“Last year we helped over 30 children, and this year it was over 70. I do anticipate that next year will be bigger yet. And the reason for that is because, this being the first year that we partnered with the Salvation Army, it was midway through the holiday season that they started taking applications for Toys for Tots.”
Tilleman says that a fair amount of donations were given by both individuals, organizations and businesses.
