HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Trails 4th Annual Summer Brewfest returns to Pepin Park this Saturday from 2-7 PM.
Havre Trails President Lindsey Brandt-Bennett says all funds raised at this event go back to their organization, with this year’s proceeds helping finish the Brough’s Coulee Trail in Beaver Creek Park.
“So we have to fund the rest of that. That would be happening either this fall or in the spring, depending on scheduling. And then, the other really exciting thing that we have coming up, hopefully, is we’re working on a private-public partnership to gain public access for the south end of Saddle Butte on the Lieberg land. So we have a really generous land donor there who wants to designate 150 acres as a hiking trail that will be accessible to the public, hopefully forever. But we’re working with a public entity to make sure that happens and get the public easement in place. So that money would help us initiate work there and plan out and start building the trail.”
Once completed, the Brough’s Coulee trail will be a a 1.2 mile loop that branches off of the popular Bear Paw Nature Trail.
Brandt-Bennett says craft beer companies from across the area will have their taps ready to be poured this weekend.
The following food vendors are expected to be on hand:
- Chachi’s Tacos (tacos, burritos, and more)
- The Streatery (healthful foods)
- Pretty Paint Catering out of Fort Belknap (Indian Tacos and more)
- Bear Paw Bowls (Acai Bowls)
The musical acts are Havreite Corey Kopp, followed by Bubba Fett, which is a psychadelic electricana band out of Livingston.
The cost for an 8 ounce beer taster and two fills is $20, and each additional fill is $2.
This will be the first Havre Trails Brewfest since 2019, as the pandemic forced them to scrap their plans the previous two summers.
“It’s exciting. We had a lot of comments in the last couple years that there was disappointment we couldn’t have Brewfest. But we’re excited. A lot has changed in terms of contacts, so it’s been a lot of work this year, but we are really excited for everyone to get out and participate,” said Brandt-Bennett.
