It was a game that was tight to the wire and thrilled until the final whistle. After the first quarter the Havre Blue Ponies and Laurel Locomotives boy’s teams knotted up the score at 15 and ended the half within a possession and Laurel ahead, 21-18. It seemed like anyone’s game until the final two minutes when Laurel grabbed the gold and the win with a slight jump at the end. The final score, Laurel Locomotives 48, Havre Blue Ponies 42. Expect to see the Havre Blue Ponies boy’s and girl’s teams to advance to the State Championship Tournament in Missoula the weekend of March 1st.
