(Havre) Havre held its annual July 4th celebration in Pepin Park to a large turnout.
Organized for the third year in a row by Cassie Denny, Denny says that they served somewhere in the ball park of 800 meals during this years celebration, which she says is bigger than previous years. In fact, Denny says they almost ran out of food
This year there was live music by the Tripping Billy Band, volunteers from the Lions Club manned the grill, and for the first time the event offered guests the opportunity to pie someone using whipped cream or shaving cream in exchange for a donation.
Denny says there will be more fundraising events throughout the year for this event for next year.
