Havre, MT – Sunday night, in Lewistown, the Havre Northstars fell to Vauxhall in the north district A tournament championship 7-0 in five innings after the game was canceled by weather.
The Northstars have three seniors on the roaster that endured a long season which placed them in good position for a run in the state tournament. Head coach Ryan Divish knew how heartbreaking the loss was for his team after all the hard work.
“We started doing work outs in October twice a week and we pushed them very hard during the season, you know to see it end that way its kind of out of their control, you know its crushing.” Divish said. “To see my seniors, especially, crying out of frustration and just not having a chance to keep going, it was pretty difficult.”
The Northstars ended their season after the loss with a 36-17-1 record.
