Havre, MT – After claiming their first win and going 1-1 last weekend, Havre high boys basketball is ready for another home road split with a non-conference game at Hardin Friday night before returning home for a battle with Custer County on Saturday.
Blue Pony boys basketball sits at 1-7 on the season and is looking to build on recent success. Head coach of the Ponies WaLynn Burgess says keys for his team will be on defensive intensity in both games.
“Hardin is a non-conference game and we know going down there, it’s always tough place to play. It’s one of those things if you can get some defensive stops an string a few together at the same time go on a little run, basketball is a game of runs you know its up and down all the time. We’re excited about another opportunity and are really excited about opening conference play for sure.” Said coach Burgess.
The Blue Ponies will play at Hardin Friday night starting at 6p.m. for the girls and 7:30p.m. for the boys. Before returning to play Custer County at home Saturday with tipoff at 4p.m. for the Girls and 5:30p.m. for the boys.
