Havre, MT – It was a strong season for the Blue Pony girl’s basketball program going undefeated in Northeast play and heading to Divisionals as the number one seed.
Head coach of the Ponies Tommy Brown has prepared his team through the off week.
“We kind of got some shots up. Hit that really hard making sure we are ready to shoot in the Metra. Put in a couple new things for any adjustments we might need to make. We know that a lot of teams don’t play the same way at tournaments as they do in the regular season, so we put in some knew things to prepare for that.” Coach Brown said.
The Blue Pony girls will tip off at 8p.m. on Thursday from the billings Metra for their first-round game.
Blue Pony boys’ basketball enters the divisional tournament on as the four seed out of the Northeast after defeating Sidny in the play in game.
Havre High head coach Walynn Burgess says his team is feeling confident heading into the tournament.
“Being able to play instead of having 10 days off and still staying in game mode. Yeah, I think it kind of helps build that confidence for sure not having that break like we normally would. It’s something difference for us this year for sure.” Coach burgess stated.
The Ponies will play at 10:30a.m. on Thursday Morning against in rematch against Billings Central.
