Havre, MT – State tournaments are no easy task and Havre High girls’ basketball looks to meet the challenge Thursday night.
Head coach of the Blue Ponies Tommy Brown says there are basic keys to winning basketball games that his team has done season that will help them at the Class A State Tournament this weekend.
“Well, the three big things in basketball that we really emphasize defending, rebounding, and taking care of the ball not turning it over. Those are three keys that hold true no matter who your opponent is. So those kinds of things will put you in a position to compete with any team no matter what their play style is.” said coach Brown.
The Blue Ponies will open in the quarterfinals against the Bulldogs of Whitefish Thursday night at 6:30p.m. The Winner of that matchup will compete in the semifinals against the winner of Dillion and Laurel who tip at 8p.m. Thursday night.
