HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hi-Line Quilt Show is set to take place this Friday through Sunday in the old Famous Footwear location at the Holiday Village Mall.
The Hi-Line Quilt Guild is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and Co-Chair Karen Pollington says this Festival Days event will feature dozens of quilts of all shapes and sizes.
“The Quilt Show gives us an opportunity or a venue so we can share our quilts with the community members. And we also look at it as an opportunity for us to give back to the community. And it shows the community the creativity of quilting and hopefully, we want to generate interest in this art form.”
There will be one quilt that will be raffled off, with all proceeds going directly to the Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen.
“In 2019, we were able to give $1,215 to the Feed My Sheep. It just depends on the year and what’s going on, but we generate somewhere between $500 and $1,000, generally, to provide them with money.”
There will be a separate raffle for a “Quilter’s Delight” Package which features specialty items for quilters such as a catch-all caddy and a pressing pad.
Two vendors will be on hand – Bearly Square from Havre and Sew Peaceful from Lewistown.
The hours of the Show are Friday from noon-6 PM, Saturday from 10 AM-6 PM, and Sunday from noon-4 PM.
