Hill County Commissioners Meeting – 4/17/2025

(Havre) The Hill County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday April 17th for their weekly business meeting.

A previous agenda item, the request of CureMD to be procured by the commission for use by the Hill County Department of Health, was erroneously left off the agenda this week. Commissioners said that next week that item will be included.

The commissioners saw two matters of county employment, both to the Council on Aging. One was the hiring of Aleah Faldalen (fall dell in), who will serve as the site manager for the Rudyard Senior Center. Jake Strissel says this hire will facilitate the return of meals at the Rudyard Senior Center on a regular basis.

The commission also approved their first payment for the continuation of their participation in the Bear Paw Economic Development District, a motion which passed 2-0 due to Jake Strissel’s abstainment from voting due to a conflict of interest. Strissel says that his wife is employed by Bear Paw Development, and that the approval of the motion does affect his household income.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 24th.
