HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Despite a hail storm that swept across Hill County Thursday evening, Havre and the surrounding area seemed to have escaped without too much damage. Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Dave Sheppard says that he hasn’t heard of any serious issues in the county as a result of the storm.
“We had some outages. Most of them were short-lived. NorthWest Energy did a good job on getting everybody back online pretty quickly. We lost a few tree branches here and there. I haven’t heard of anything major. I talked to the Road Department today and they don’t have any issues with any of the county roads or anything. So, I think we kind of dodged a bullet, a little bit anyway.”
Sheppard says there were flash flood warnings before the storm, but the Road Department hasn’t reported any flooding.
