HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill County has been chosen to receive Phase 36 award of $4,771 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
A press release says the Hill County Federal Emergency Management Agency Board will determine how the funds awarded are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service organizations in the area. The Hill County FEMA Board is responsible for recommending agencies to receive these funds and any additional funds available under this phase of the program.
Under the terms of the grant, local organizations chosen to receive funds must be private, voluntary non-profits or units of government, have an accounting system, practice nondiscrimination, and have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food.
Interested organizations need to send a letter stating the amount of funds requested and their intended use to HRDC in Havre. Letters must be postmarked by Monday, August 19th.
