Hill County to be Without Extension Agent in Short Term

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Today is Tom Allen’s final day as MSU Extension Ag/4-H Agent for Hill County, leaving the County without any Extension Agents for the time being.

Allen began in the position back in August 2019. He is the second of Hill County’s two Extension Agents to leave the Office this year, after Family and Consumer Sciences/4-H Agent Jasmine Carbajal left at the end of September in order to be closer to family after working in the position for three years.

This means Hill County will be without any Extension Agents to begin 2021. However, Allen expects at least one new Agent to be hired in early 2021. He says that the foundation has been laid to continue to see the Hill County Office flourish.

“I’m sure we’ll get some real good people in here…We’re still going through the screening process and everything.”

Those needing to contact Hill County Extension can still contact their Office for assistance, but those needing to speak with Extension Agents are urged to contact an Office in a neighboring county.
