HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Fire Department Chief Nate Courtnage says a residence just east of town suffered significant damage in an electrical fire on Saturday evening.
Courtnage says crews were dispatched to the fire at 10:31 PM on the 400 block of 33rd Avenue Northeast.
The fire is believed to have started at an air conditioning plug-in in the living room and extended up paneling into walls and the ceiling. The fire was contained to the room of origin, but there is smoke damage throughout the house.

One engine and an ambulance were on the scene. Five personnel were called to the scene, with another three people on standby. Crews remained on scene until just after midnight on Sunday morning.
There were no injuries. The residence is in need of repairs, according to Courtnage.
