Havre Trails is getting ready to host the First Annual Eager Beaver Disc Golf Tournament.
The competition will take place on Saturday, May 14th at the new Normandy Coulee Disc Golf Course at Beaver Creek Park.
Havre Trails President Lindsey Brandt-Bennett says all skill levels are welcome.
“The main goal is to get promotion of the course itself, to get it on people’s radar. Hopefully both people in the Havre area and then also, a little bit further away as well, hoping to draw a little bit of a crowd from places like Great Falls and other parts of central Montana.”
While it is a 9-hole course, the competition will be 18-holes, as nine alternate tees have been set up to provide for some shorter holes and unique views.
The registration fee is $15 and includes weekend camping. Special event discs are available for an additional price as supplies last.
To sign up, go to discgolfscene.com and search ‘Eager Beaver.’
Funds raise from the event will go to help improve the course by adding things such as tee pads.
The player meeting will be at 9:45 AM on the morning of the tournament, with tee off at 10:30 AM.
