Kids Fishing Days Set for June in Central Montana

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A fishing day for kids will be held in two towns in central Montana in June.

A press release says that on June 1st, the Lewistown annual kids fishing day will be on June 1st at the Frog Ponds. The free event will run from 10 AM to noon and will feature demonstrations on water safety, casting, and fish identification. Everyone is welcome, but the activities are geared for children ages 3 to 12.

On June 8th, another kids fishing day will be held at Wadsworth Pond in Great Falls. As in years past, the Great Falls chapter of Walleyes Unlimited will give away a free rod and reel outfit or a tackle box to youngsters who complete a series of educational stations. There is no age limit, but activities are geared to youngsters just learning how to fish.

No fishing licenses will be required for either event.
