NMB) The crash that claimed one life last Wednesday afternoon in Blaine County involved four cars according to the Montana Highway Patrol. It happened on
U.S. Highway 2 near mile marker 416 between Harlem and Chinook. The report states that there was a line of cars stopped at road construction waiting for a
pilot car to guide them through the work zone. A Dodge Grand Caravan traveling East ran into the back of a Buick Enclave, the Enclave crashed into the rear end
of Dodge Ram 1500 which then crashed into the back of another Dodge Ram. The Driver of the Buick Enclave, a 68-year-old male from Millbank, South Dakota
died at the scene. His name has not been released. The passenger in the Enclave, a 64-year-old female from South Dakota was taken to Benefis in Great Falls
for medical care. The Driver and only occupant of the Dodge Caravan, a 68-year-old female from Harlem was taken to Northern Montana Health care for medical
care. The Driver and sole occupant of the Dodge Ram, a 40-year-old female also from Harlem was taken to Northern Montana Health Care for treatment and
the driver of the Ram 1500, a 39-year-old male from South Dakota was not seriously injured. All involved were wearing seat belts. Drugs and alcohol were not
factors in the crash.
