Havre, Mt – In year one of the new look Frontier Conference MSU-Northern Lights and Skylights basketball have a new feel with the start conference play in early November.
MSU-Northern Lights and Skylights begin Frontier conference play at the University of Providence will be the first of 22 conference games for Northern basketball.
Lights head coach Shawn Huse previewed the matchup and gave his keys to a win.
“Well obviously finding your angles against their defenses. Finding what works well for your team vs their defenses. Same thing on the other side, is how to limit their good looks and come up with your stops, create some turnovers and get some defensive rebounds.”
On the Skylights side, coach Chris Mouat Knows that rebounding will be one of multiple keys for a Skylights victory.
“We are going to have to win the boards, and that s going to be a challenge because of their size. I think finding them in transition, not give up easy shots, things like that, those are going to go a long way for us. On the other end we got to score on their side. Theres a million things we got to do and do well, but hopefully we can continue to get better as we go”
