Havre, MT – Saturday the MSU-Northern Lights lost their final regular season game at home to Montana Western 83-79. Light junior guard Austin Ramos has been a leader on the floor all season and showed why despite the loss. Ramos secured six rebounds in the first half with no points but finished the game leading Northern in both categories scoring 18 second half points and finishing with 13 boards for a double double.
Lights head coach Shawn Huse credited the effort from his leader.
“The guy can make shots from anywhere. he is an exceptional rebounder. His defense has really come along ways since he first got here and certainty had a nice night.”
Ramos will look to lead the Lights to an upset victory over the Bellevue Bruins in the first round of the Frontier conference tournament Friday night at 7:30p.m.
